ICW Showdown, edition 1 from at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario
Attendance: 15,532

OPENING MATCHUP
AJ Lee defeated Trish Stratus with a roll-up after an entertaining, back and forth match that featured several near falls

Finlay and Regal (United Kings) defeated Benjamin and Haas (The World's Greatest Tag Team) by countout in what was a long, grueling battle featuring a brutal kick from Finlay to Benjamin, whose head was up against the ring post

Christian defeated Lance Storm in a technical contest after planting Storm with two Kill Switches

Edge defeated Benoit and Bret Hart in a triple threat match after spearing Benoit

Vader defeated Owen Hart after Owen resorted to using a steel chair on the beast, who had been dominating the match

MAIN EVENT
Randy Savage proved he could wrestle just as technically as anyone in the ICW, shocking the world as he defeated Chris Jericho in a submission match that was back and forth until Savage locked in a sleeper hold that put Jericho out. Going into the match, Jericho had called out Savage, claiming he was a one trick pony that wouldnt be able to keep up with the speedy, technical style that most of the ICW roster utilizes. Match of the night.

The inaugural edition of ICW Showdown was praised as a great wrestling show, but critics have said the company needs more in the way of drama and storylines. We'll have to wait and see how things develop in the weeks to come.

ICW Showdown, edition 2 from at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec
Attendance: 16,243

OPENING MATCHUP
Finlay and Regal (United Kings) defeated Rybaxel in an entertaining brawl of an opener. There were several spots where Axel was isolated in the match by Regal and Finlay, as they double teamed him while Ryback paced on the apron. Once Ryback got the tag he did some damage to both UK members, but was derailed when Finlay got his feet on the ropes during a pin behind the refs back for the three.
Rating: 3 Stars

Chris Jericho defeated Kurt Angle in a dream match that turned out to be a squash. The fans were surprisingly rallying behind the American hero, Kurt Angle, but he was thwarted at every turn by Jericho, who picked up a stunning easy victory over Angle with a Codebreaker. After the match, Jericho taunted Angle on the mic calling him washed up, and segued into a rant about Macho Man Randy Savage having been lucky the week prior. Savage came out on the ring apron and distracted Jericho, who got hit with an Angle Slam from behind.
Rating: 2 Stars

Raven defeated Owen Hart in a hardcore match after Raven called Owen out for using weapons in his match against Vader last week. Raven said Owen had no idea how to use them, and this match backed up his insults, as Raven handily destroyed Owen Hart, putting him through the announce table, busting several chairs on him and DDTing his face onto a ring bell for the three.
Rating: 2 Stars

Benoit defeated Lance Storm in a match that went the distance - almost tweny minutes. This match was a textbook example of how to keep a high work rate and keep interest with back and forth momentum. Both men lasted through their opponent's finishing submission holds, but after Benoit busted Storm open with a nasty elbow to the head, it was downhill from there for Storm. Hitting three germans in a row, Benoit ascended the turnbuckles and hit the diving head butt for a very hard earned victory. The fans applauded both men for the matchup.
Rating: 4 1/2 Stars

Shockingly, Sabu from St Louis Championship Wrestling entered the arena and attacked Canadian Heavyweight champion (minor) Christian, and the two brawled around backstage until commissioner Rick Martel announced that there would be a match tonight for Christian's belt!

Sabu defeated Christian in what was a shockingly short, suspicious matchup. Sabu only had to hit a few moves on Christian before simply rolling him up for the three before a stunned Montreal crowd, who hurled garbage at the seemingly invading Sabu. However, as the dust settled, Martel came to the entrance ramp and announced that an official trade had been made between ICW and SLCW that was to send Christian to the St Louis promotion immediately in exchange for the maniac, Sabu. The fans are extremely irate with this decision, and Matt Striker and Jesse Ventura sound equally as shocked on commentary.
Rating: Not really a match out of five

Bret Hart and Randy Savage exchange a few words backstage before facing off in tonights main event, the number one contender match for Edge's World Championship. They express mutual respect for one another and Bret says he won't make the same mistake Jericho did in underestimating Savage.

MAIN EVENT

Randy Savage vs Bret Hart to determine the number one contender
Things seemed to be going normal as Savage entered the arena, but Bret Hart was jumped on the rampway by an assailant that was hard to decipher for a moment, but he was revealed to be Shawn Michaels, who is employed somewhere else! This time the invasion wasn't part of the show, as countless security guards and members of the roster poured out to get Michaels out of the arena. Savage did his part by giving Bret time to recover physically and mentally before an intense, back and forth matchup that featured a bit of everything - lots of solid wrestling, brawling all over the arena, an apron ddt by Bret on Savage (that Savage was lacerated by), many near falls, two finishers by each man only garnering two counts. By the the 24th minute both men stood tired, as Bret was whipped into the ropes for a back body drop by Savage. As Savage went to pick up Bret, Bret slyling turned it into a rollup for a two count, but Savage held on and reversed the leverage for a three count victory over Bret!

Your winner and Number One Contender for ICW's first ever PPV... MACHO MAN RANDY SAVAGE via rollup in the 25th minute.
The two embrace after the match as the fans shower their respect on the athletes, just as Edge hits the ring, and brutally spears Savage. Bret tries to intervene but Michaels comes back down to the ring, with a lead pipe and smacks Bret in the back of the knee! All hell breaks loose until Vader's music hits, and he bolts as fast as he can down to the ring, powerbombing Michaels from inside the ring all the way over to the outside. The fans are going nuts, and Edge retreats smartly before he can be harmed. The show goes off the air with Ventura calling Michaels the best wrestler the world over, next to Edge of course, as the trio of Bret, Vader and Savage collect themselves in the ring.

Rating: 4.75 Stars out of 5

Overall, a pretty great show if you ignore a couple of the midcard matches that weren't that great. Reviews say this card was miles ahead of last weeks, and that all the twists and turns made an already great wrestling card all the more interesting to digest.

FINAL SHOW SCORE:
4 stars out of 5

SHOW MVP:
Randy Savage

ICW Showdown, edition 3 from the Metro Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia
Attendance: 12,233

OPENING MATCHUP
Antonio Cesaro opens up the show by claiming that ICW is the premier wrestling company in the world and that he is simply on a mission to prove that, so he feels justified in his recent actions. Just then, Damien Sandow enters, telling Cesaro to simply shut his simpleton mouth, and that no promotions really matter. All that matters is Sandow, and his teachings, or so he says.

Cesaro defeated Sandow in a bit of a squash, as Sandow never got out of the starting blocks. Cesaro actually got so much offense in on Sandow that he could barely defend himself anymore. Cesaro began toying with Sandow, slapping him in the face as the fans actually cheered. Cesaro handily defeated Sandow with a delayed Gutrench Suplex.

1.5/5 Stars

ICW Canadian Champion Sabu attacked Raven backstage as he muttered about his father the original Sheik. Raven was at first reluctant to attack Sabu, perhaps due to his respect for the crazy bastard. However, after Sabu broke a singapore cane over Raven's head, he found inspiration to retaliate, denting a garbage can with Sabu's head, and throwing him out onto the stage where the two brawled all around ringside. Raven DDT'd Sabu on a chair on the outside for a two count. Sabu turned the tables, hitting a suicide dive on Raven, and grabbed the same chair and broke it over Raven's back. He then grabbed a table, set Raven on it and dove on top of him with a moonsault, crashing the table in the process. Sabu then broke another cane over Raven's head and hit an arabian facebuster for the three. Dominant showing by Sabu, but a very entertaining hardcore match.

3/5 Stars

AJ Lee vs Layla - nontitle match

AJ Attacks Layla from behind as she enters the ring! She immediately hits a shining wizard for a two count as Jesse Ventura goes on about how dominant AJ is. Not to be outdone, Layla gets back into it, kicking AJ in the head a few times, then hitting a nice rolling neck snap. Layla then hits a great ddt that looks to almost knock out AJ but only gets a two! The match heats up as AJ pokes Layla in the eye and goes for a rollup! Two count only! Layla then runs headon into a hurricanrana from AJ! Layla then quickly responds with a hurricanrana of her own! Big neckbreaker from Layla for a two! However, as soon as AJ gets up she gets knocked out with a huge chick kick to the temple! Layla pins the women's champ in a non title match! What a comeback win! AJ tries to assault Layla postmatch but gets tossed out of the ring as Layla enjoys her moment in the sun.

3.5/5 Stars

Curt Hennig vs Vader

This match starts off to the advantage of Hennig, very technical wrestling. However, Vader holds his own in this regard and we get a stalemate to start the match. The two spill out to the outside, where Vader slams Hennig onto the stairs! Back in the ring, Vader hits a stiff punch to the side of Hennig's head for a close two count. Vader then hits a huge top rope clothesline. He then hits a big splash on Hennig! 1....2...... NO! Hennig kicks out! Hennig knocks over the big man with a few kicks to the stomach and a snap suplex. He then removes the turnbuckle pad while the ref is checking on Vader. The match heads to the outside again as Hennig armdrags Vader onto a seated chair at ringside! The crowd and commentators mark out as Vader hits with a sickening thud! He looks like he may be injured as trainers and EMTs look into it. Vader recovers after some time as Hennig poses in the ring. Vader slides under the rope at the 9 count! The match continues! Vader turns the tables with a big scoop slam, then sends Hennig into the exposed turnbuckle! Vader runs in for an avalanche splash but Hennig moves at just the right time! Vader hits the exposed corner and reels in pain as Hennig sets up for a Perfectplex! He hits it! 1......2......3!!! Hennig pins the massive Vader after an awesome back and forth match! After the match, more emts come out to inspect Vader, but Vader angrily pushes them away as the fans applaud him.

4.5/5 Stars. Match of the night.

The World's Greatest Tag Team (Haas and Benjamin) vs Bushido (Michinoku and Takada)

The match starts off with all four men brawling in the ring, and quickly spills to the outside where Takada hits several dangerous looking slams on Haas, who takes a hell of a beating. Several double team moves by Bushido leave Haas reeling as the beatdown continues in the ring. Haas hits a hot tag to Benjamin who successfully cleans house and hits a beautiful t-bone suplex for a two on Michinoku. Taka fights back with several impressive kicks and a springboard splash for a two on Benjamin, who soon tags out to Haas, who gets a surprise rollup on Taka for the three out of nowhere! Haas celebrates while Benjamin clears Takada off the apron. The two continue beating down Bushido after the bell, including a nice double superkick on Taka.

3/5 Stars

MAIN EVENT

Randy Savage vs Chris Jericho with Edge

NCW Superstar Shawn Michaels somehow makes his way down to the ringside area before the match, stealing a mic from the timekeeper's area, and cutting a nasty shoot promo on ICW and Bret Hart in particular. He also gets onto how over the hill Randy Savage is, before his entrance music hits. Savage runs Michaels out of the ring, as Edge assaults him from behind! Michaels and Edge shake hands, to the disgust of everyone in attendance. Jericho makes his entrance and immediately tries to capitalize on the downed Savage as a swarm of security maul Michaels and drag him away from the ring. Savage makes a comeback, hitting a high knee on Y2J. He then turns his sights to Edge and slips to the outside where the two brawl, and tear apart the announce table. Edge smacks Savage's head off the table as Jericho tries to help out the rated R Superstar by setting Savage up on the table. Savage manages to kick Y2J in the head, knocking him down, but Edge gets onto the announce table with Savage, setting him up for a piledriver! Savage reverses! The World Champion, Edge gets sent crashing through the announce table with a sickening thud! Savage rolls Jericho into  the ring and the two begin to actually wrestle a sound, technical back and forth match with lots of submission attempts as Edge continues recovering on the outside. Jericho misses a lionsault attempt, and Savage makes him pay, hitting a huge diving knee drop! Cover! 1.....2...... the ref is distracted by Edge! The fans are booing loudly, as Jericho hits a low blow behind the ref, who is signalling for Edge to leave ringside! As Edge begrudgingly leaves, Jericho locks on the Liontamer! Savage looks like he may tap!

Jesse the Body: Nobody gets out of the Liontamer! Especially not that washed up old plug, Savage!

Striker: Hold on, Jesse, it looks like he just might!

Jesse the Body: No way!

On cue, Savage launches Jericho forward as he gains enough leverage to get out of the Liontamer! The fans are standing at the Metro Centre! Savage hits a top rope superplex on Jericho, and picks up Y2J, launching him to the corner for another superplex! Not satisfied, Savage makes it three massive superplexes in a row on Jericho! Cover! 1.........2.........NO! Jericho kicks out! Jericho rakes Savages face, and in a groggy state hits a codebreaker out of nowhere! 1........2........NO! It's Savages turn to kick out! Jericho looks stunned! He goes to pick Savage up, but Savage rolls him up! 1......2......3!! Savage wins! What a matchup! Edge storms back out to ringside, and spears Savage! He then grabs a mic and claims that there's no way that some old fogey from the 40's can beat the Rated R Superstar for his Championship, and that he should just give up now while he still has some air left in his wheezy old windbag. He then goes on to say that Shawn Michaels from NCW is the only wrestler in the world even close to being on par with him, and that he will easily rule the company. Edge also took liberties on Bret Hart, calling him a has been and insulting him for having taken the night off to heal from the wounds received in the beatdown last week from HBK. The show goes off the air as Edge poses with his championship over a downed Savage.

Main event rating: 4/5 Stars

Overall show rating: 3.5/5 Stars

A couple of the matches were average and one was pretty awful, but there was enough good action to keep this show positive. The fans are into everything right now, eating up the feuds that are developing.

Show MVP: Curt Hennig

ICW Showdown, edition 4 LIVE from the Scotiabank Arena in Ottawa, Ontario!

We have just one more week until the very first ICW pay per view event, Breaking the Ice! Also, night of champions will serve to be an additional treat to fans of ICW Wrestling, so keep an eye out for it!

OPENING MATCH
Vader vs. Hennig

In a rematch from last week, Vader was looking for revenge. He came out early with huge strikes, targeting Hennig’s head from the get-go. Hennig managed for fight back and use some technical know how to keep the beast at bay for a bit, but it came to a sudden halt when Vader became angry, power bombing Hennig, and throwing him to the corner where he unleashed a sick assault of strikes to the head and torso. Hennig fell in a heap as Vader ascended the turnbuckle and hit a death defying moonsault, pinning Hennig for the win. These two are tied at one win apiece against one another.

3/5 stars.

Crush vs. Owen Hart

The debuting Crush cam down to the ring and cut a rather gimmicky promo about "saving the kids, brah!" before Owen Hart sneered and interrupted, claiming to show Crush just how stupid he is to think about anything but being the best wrestler in the company. "Nuts to all these stupid kids!" - slightly creepy quote from Owen's counter promo.

The debuting Crush got little offense in on Owen Hart, who looked on a mission tonight. Owen outwitted and outworked Crush in a short match that ended with a piledriver from Owen.

1.5/5 stars. Very short.

Layla vs Bull Nakano - number one contenders match

Nakano dominates early with big power moves, loading on big strikes and slams, including a huge power bomb after whipping Layla into the ropes. Layla responds a bit with some speedier moves, including a nice jawbreaker off the top turnbuckle in the corner. Nakano spears Layla off the apron to the outside and batters her on the floor. Layla gets thrown knees first into the stairs at this one appears to be turning into a squash. Nakano throws Layla into the ring and sets her up for a modified Razor’s Edge. This should be it… 1...2...NO! Layla gets a shoulder up. Nakano looks concerned, but picks Layla up and tosses her into the corner. Nakano goes for a splash but Layla moves and hit’s a nice neck breaker on the stunned Nakano! Pin for a two count. Nakano gets up but looks groggy… huge chick kick to the side of the head by Layla! 1.…2.…NO! Nakano gets the shoulder up! Layla begin punching Nakano in the face, prompting the ref to get involved. This gives Nakano time to recover. Nakano hit’s a nasty clothesline, and picks Layla up, whipping her into the ropes for a massive power slam with a pinning combination! THIS SHOULD BE IT! 1.…2.….NO!!! Layla kicks out again and the fans begin chanting “THIS IS AWESOME!” The match again spills outside as Nakano gets reversed on a whip into the ringpost! Layla rolls Nakano back into the ring for a two! Nakano recovers quickly and hits another power slam for yet another two! The fans are going nuts for this contest! Nakano looks livid, and hits another powerful lariat for yet. Another. Two!

Jesse the Body: This could be match of the year quality stuff we’re seeing here tonight, Striker! Don’t screw it up by fumbling on commentary!

Striker: I’m just in awe, Jesse. These two ladies are proving that women’s wrestling is every bit as tough and competitive as it’s male counterpart!

Jesse the Body: Of course it is, you pipsqueak! Who ever suggested it wasn’t?

Nakano goes for another power bomb but it is reversed into a hurricanrana! She holds on for a two! Nakano gets up, stumbling a bit, as Layla kicks her three times in the head! Nakano is wobbling as Layla sets up another dangerous looking neck breaker! She hits it! 1.…..2.……3!!!  The fans erupt as Layla slowly makes her way to her feet, celebrating the biggest win of her career, and the greatest match yet in the short history of ICW. “ICW!” chants echo in the arena as even the commentators give a standing ovation.

5/5 stars. One of the best matches I’ve ever seen on a wwe game.

Raven vs. Damien Sandow

Raven dragged Sandow to the outside right from the onset and laid a vicious beating on him that included several irish whips into ring posts, and eventually ended up on the stage. Raven hit a Raven Effect DDT on Sandow and attempted to get back to the ring but was counted out as he did so. Sandow put his arms up in the air after getting back to his feet, seemingly taking the draw as a victory. Raven caught up to him and hit another Raven effect, knocking him unconscious,

2/5 Stars. Unremarkable all around.

THE REST OF THE CARD WILL BE POSTED TOMORROW! STAY TUNED!

Rybaxel vs World's Greatest Tag Team

Curtis Axel starts the match by hitting his finished, Turning Heads on Shelton Benjamin for a quick two count. The match is completely one sided to start, with Rybaxel steam rolling through the opening minutes. However, Ryback and Axel get into a disagreement over who should be in the ring, and Ryback ends up laying out Axel, leaving the ring pissed off! The match turns into a handicap match, and Axel looks done for. WGGT double team Axel for a few minutes, as the fans are left to wonder if Rybaxel will ever be a team again. Axel does fight back, however, and the fans rally behind him a bit as he gets some offense in on Haas, including a nice Futureshock DDT out of nowhere for a two! Axel continues his impressive spree of offense, flooring Benjamin as he attempts to get involved! A quick roll up by Haas gets reversed for a two count! Axel was that close! His luck comes to an end as WGGT hit a few more double team moves on him. The ref has completely lost control of the match! Haas hits a nice exploder suplex for the three as the fans boo en masse. Axel got screwed over by Ryback and we're left only with questions as to why. Following the match, United Kings (Finlay and Regal), the tag champs, hit the ring and assault WGGT, laying them out and posing over them with the belts in hand.

3/5 Stars.

Edge vs Randy Savage

In what was set to be a treat for the ICW audience, and a preview of the main event of Breaking the Ice, Edge was to face off against Randy Savage. However, before the match even had a chance to get going, Edge called his cronies, Chris Jericho and the interfering Shawn Michaels down to ringside, and the three assaulted Savage. As the bell sounded over and over, and officials attempted to get the rabid dowgs off the number one contender, all hope seemed lost. Savage was hit with each superstar's finisher, and just as Edge went outside to grab two chairs to perform the con-chair-to, Bret Hart's music hit! He hit the ring with a fury, knocking down all three of the attackers one after another! Bret grabbed one of the chairs and laid out Jericho with it, then gave a piledriver to Edge! Bret locked on the sharpshooter to HBK in the middle of the ring as the fans were going wild. Savage and Bret embraced in the ring as the show cut off air. The commentators did a good job of hyping the upcoming PPV before the feed went to black.

Match of the night: Layla vs Bull Nakano

Show MVP: Layla
