The show begins with all 8 teams standing at the top of the ramp for a special ceremony. A video package runs, highlighting each team individually. The crowd is roaring and the first two teams make their way to the ring as the other return to the back, waiting for their matches to start.

The Devil's Rejects vs. The Usos
The host team represent SLCW, The Usos, start the tournament against The Devils Rejects. Jimmy starts the match against Luger. Luger throws Jimmy around to start. Jimmy hits some reversals and starts to take over. Luger gets in the corner and Jimmy tags in Jey on a double team move. Luger gets the tag to Douglas, but Jey stays in control. Douglas tags in Luger, and takes control. Luger gets Douglas right back in, and Jey gets a move in before Douglas takes back over. Jey manages to get a tag to Jimmy who take the momentum. Douglas tags in Luger, but Jimmy is still in control. Luger gets a reversal and hits a big neckbreaker. Jimmy rushes over to Jey for the tag, Jey gets a reversal and hits a big forearm to Luger, followed by a facebuster. The two trade reversals before a forearm and tag by Jey. Jimmy still has momentum and hits an assblast on Luger. Luger starts to come back, but Jimmy hits a massive superkick! Douglas breaks the count! TORTURE RACK! It's broken up! Jimmy hits a superplex! Goes for the tag! Luger with the sidewalk slam and tag to Douglas! Jimmy has the upper hand, but not for long. Douglas starts to take over. Douglas with a Three Amigos! Both teams get a tag! Luger against Jey! Luger starts to overpower Jey, but Jey fights back and gets Jimmy back in. Luger with a hot tag to Douglas! Douglas is beating on Jimmy! Another Three Amigos! Jimmy tries to tag, but is held back. Finally he gets a hot tag to Jey! Jey is on fire! Douglas locks in a figure four! It's broken up! Douglas is in control when he tags in Luger. Luger overpowers Jey, just manhandling him. Every attempt to win is broken up by Jimmy! All hell breaks loose! Luger doesn't allow the tag to Jimmy! Military Press! For the Pin! IT'S OVER! WHAT A WAY TO START THE TOURNAMENT! The Devil's Rejects get the first three points in a hard fought match!

Cryme Tyme vs. The Fallen
Cryme Tyme's promotion was recently disbanded, but their invite still stands. They take on Sting and Daniels in match two. It's Shad against Sting to start. The two trade offense for a bit, with Shad looking a hair better. But Sting gets in control of the match. For every one attack Shad gets in, Sting gets two. Sting gets the tag to Daniels and they hit a double team move. Daniels continues the assault before getting hit by JTG, letting Shad take over. Shad gets a tag to JTG, and Daniels starts to work him over. Sting grabs ahold of JTG, holding him against the ropes while Daniels attacks. This match is all The Fallen at this point, as the tag to Sting is made and a double team move is hit. JTG fights Sting off and starts his attack, stomping on Sting quite a bit. Daniels finally hops in the ring and throws JTG into the turnbuckle, allowing Sting to attack. Sting gets the tag to Daniels. JTG is in trouble, not getting any room! The dominance continues for quite some time, with a lot of two counts. JTG finally gets enough offense in to tag in Shad, but Shad is put down just as quick as JTG. JTG HITS A FINISHER OUTTA NOWHERE, but Daniels kicks out at ONE! Sting attacks JTG! ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE! DANIELS LOCKS IN A FULL NELSON! IT'S OVER! THE FALLEN WIN!

The Mexicools vs. The Road Warriors
What an unorthodoxed match up between The Mexicools and The Road Warriors. Hawk starts against Psychosis. Hawk begins by overpowering Psychosis, but Psychosis hits a reversal. It doesn't last long as HAWK HITS HIS FINISHER EARLY! ANIMAL TAKES OUT SUPER CRAZY! Psychosis kicks out at two! Hawk is dominating. Super Crazy attacks Animal! Animal looks injured outside the ring! It's just Hawk against The Mexicools! And Psychosis is taking control of the match! Hawk starts to fight back! Powerbomb into the turnbuckle! Only a two count! HAWK DOES IT AGAIN! Only a two count again! Psychosis gets a tag! Super Crazy is all over Hawk! Animal is still down! HAWK WITH A HUGE POWERBOMB! THEN A BELLY TO BACK! ANOTHER HARD SLAM! PSYCHOSIS BREAKS THE PIN AS CLOSE TO THREE AS POSSIBLE! SUPER CRAZY WITH THE TAG! HARD DDT! Hawk reverses a suplex and fights back! The two trade offense and two counts. Psychosis tags in Super Crazy! Super Crazy with a sitdown powerbomb! Two count! The Mexicools are dominating Hawk! Super Crazy tags in Psychosis. HAWK FIGHTS BACK! There's been at least 10 two counts! Psychosis hits his finisher! IT'S OVER, MEXICOOLS BEAT ROAD WARRIORS! After the match, Animal finally returns to his feet and walks to the back with Hawk.

The main event of round one, Steiners and World's Greatest! Haas against Scott! Scott is all over Haas. HE HITS A SUPERPLEX FROM THE TOP ROPE EARLY! Haas fights Scott into the corner, and tries to tag in Shelton, Scott can't hold Haas off and in comes Shelton. Scott starts to take over. Shelton fights back, but not for long. Shelton tags in Haas, Scott hits a big suplex, followed by another and tags in Rick. Haas tags in Shelton, all hell breaks loose as the teams fight on the out side! Rick and Shelton end up back in the ring! Top rope dive by Rick! Running neckbreaker by Shelton! Shelton gets the tag, Haas takes over. Rick charges Haas, gets flipped over, but bounces up. A swinging backbreaker to Haas! Military Press by Rick! Scott takes out Shelton! HAAS KICKS OUT AT ONE! HAAS FIGHTS BACK, but is thrown onto the apron by Rick. RICK HITS AN APRON DDT! Haas gets to the ring at six! Rick continues the beatdown! Haas gets a hot tag to Shelton! But Rick is too much, the two trade offense and reversals! Scott grabs ahold of Shelton, Rick hits a military press! Shelton kicks out at two! Rick tags in Scott. They hit a double team! Scott with his finisher! But Haas breaks the pin in time! BEAR HUG ON SHELTON! HAAS BREAKS IT UP! Shelton starts to take over! Shelton has a head of steam! Scott tags in rick! Rick tries to end Sheltons momentum, but Shelton reverses everything! An amazing card to start off the World Tag Team Invitational. Next week we will see Usos vs. Steiners, Road Warriors vs. WGTT, Cryme Tyme vs. Devil's Rejects, and The Fallen vs. the Mexicools. And it will all take place live in Chicago!

Before the show gets into full swing, it is announced that one of the Devil's Rejects had to drop out due to contractually issues...but in order to keep the show flowing, another member was allowed to fill in since it was early in the tournament. Everyone is told that Luger has been replaced by Kevin Steen and the crowd pops loudly as the Devil's Rejects make their way out for the first match of the night.

Cryme Tyme vs. The Devil's Rejects
The match begins with Shad and Steen in the ring. The crowd is wound up in Chicago, chanting "Kill Steen Kill!" Shad starts the match with a scoop slam, but Steen bounces up and gets in a little offense. Shad hits another scoop slam, but Steen gets up quickly again and takes Shad down. Steen sets Shad up on the turnbuckle and hits a vicious DDT! Steen then throws Shad out of the ring and makes the tag to Douglas. Douglas keeps the dominance up for a bit, but Shad gets the tag to JTG. JTG focuses on Steen, and gets hit hard by Douglas. The two end up fighting outside the ring. Douglas hits a big samoan drop on JTG outside the ring and gets back into the ring. JTG follows and fights off Douglas and makes the tag. After a bit of back and forth, JTG tags himself in! Douglas is all over JTG, showing great offense. JTG gets a hot tag to Shad! Shad works Douglas into a corner, but Douglas reverses and takes over. The two start trading offense. Douglas gets a close two count and takes over. Douglas hits a jackknife suplex! JTG breaks the count at two! Shad can't get any room to breathe. Douglas gets a tag to Steen, Shad to JTG! JTG kicks out of a hard DDT! JTG tags in Steen and they get a double team move, but Steen gets a tag to Douglas and Douglas takes out Shad! Cryme Tyme isn't giving up, but they're not showing much offense. Douglas works over Shad in the corner. Douglas hits his finisher! But JTG breaks the count at two! Another finisher! Steen takes out JTG! Three count, Devil's Rejects go to 2-0 and have six points!

The Usos vs. The Steiner Brothers
Jimmy starts against Rick, and Rick comes out swinging. Rick works Jimmy over before getting him to the corner and tagging in Scott. Afterwards, Jimmy manages to tag in Jey, and Scott begins to throw Jey around. Scott tags in Scott, they hit a hard double team move. Rick goes after Jimmy, but Jey gets an upper hand since Rick turned around. Jey tags in Jimmy, and Jimmy starts to get some momentum before Rick takes back over and tags in Scott. Jimmy gets the tag to Jey and they hit a high flying double team move. It doesn't last long as Scott starts to beat on Jey once again. Jey gets a big reversal and a quick tag to Jimmy. Scott tags in Rick, and Jimmy hits a big powerslam. The two trade blows at center ring before Jimmy takes over. Rick gets pissed off and military presses Jimmy! Rick throws Jimmy out of the ring and Scott goes after him! Jimmy fights off Scott and then fights off Rick as the count reaches 5! Jimmy tries to get in, but is taken down. Rick breaks the count, and the Steiners continue the assault outside the ring. Rick and Jimmy get back into the ring at 7. Jimmy hits a huge powerslam reversal for a two count! Jimmy chooses to not make a tag and keeps fighting, but Rick fights back. Jimmy gets a hot tag, but Scott takes out Jey! Jey and Rick trade offense! Rick hot tags Scott! Jey stops Scott in his tracks! Scott with the finisher!! JEY KICKS OUT AT ONE! German with a bridge! Another kickout! Jey with a big DDT! A huge forearm! Scott with the powerslam! Tag to Rick! Scott takes out Jimmy! Rick with a massive suplex! Jey reverses and hits a kick for a two count! Swinging backbreaker by Rick for a two count! Tag to Scott! Big suplex to Jey! Road Warriors vs. WGTT
Haas attacks Hawk early, but Hawk fights back hard. The two trade offense until Hawk shows his dominance. Haas gets a tag to Shelton, and he takes over against Hawk. He hits multiple suplexes until Hawk gets a neckbreaker and a tag to Animal. Shelton keeps control over Animal though. Shelton tags in Haas, they hit a tag team move. Animal starts to throw Haas around, but Haas fights back. Haas begins to take back control. Haas goes for a pin, but it's kicked out of at one. Haas gets outside the ring to catch his breath. Haas gets back in, gets a tag to Shelton, and Hawk takes over. Hawk tags in Animal and Shelton starts to take over. Animal tags in Hawk again quick. The Road Warriors start beating on Shelton outside the ring, they all return and Shelton can't gain any momentum. Animal is tagged back in and shows great power. Shelton fights back, tags in Haas and Haas has a head of steam. Haas keeps control for awhile over Animal. Haas is looking as good as ever so far in the tourney. Haas hits his finisher! but Animal kicks out at two! Animal with the hot tag to Hawk, but Haas stops him in his tracks! Reversal by Hawk, Scoop slam to Haas! Piledriver to Haas! Hawk takes out Shelton! Shelton breaks the pin up at two still!!! Haas fights back against Hawk! Hawk hits another reversal, Powerbomb onto Hawks knee! PILEDRIVER! ANIMAL TAKES OUT SHELTON! HAAS KICKS OUT AT TWO! Haas with a reversal and tag to Shelton! Shelton is on fire! Hawk with a big reversal then curbstomp! HUGE POWERBOMB! SHELTON KICKS OUT AT TWO! RUNNING NECK BREAKER BY SHELTON! Kick to the head on Hawk! Kick out at two! Hawk fights back! Tag to Animal! Animal goes after Haas, but Shelton pops up and takes out Animal! Shelton with the finisher to Animal! The Fallen vs. Mexicools
Sting and Super Crazy to start. The two trade offense, with Super Crazy getting an upper hand. Super Crazy tags in Psychosis and the two hit a massive tag move. Sting gets a reversal in, but Super Crazy gets the tag. Sting can't get any momentum. Super Crazy hits a big hurricanrana. Then a kick to the head, Sting pushes him off and makes a tag to Daniels. Super Crazy takes the match over once again though. Hard drop kick to the face by Super Crazy. Daniels with a reversal then some offense. Super Crazy tags in Psychosis, hits a move, tags back in Super Crazy for a big tag move! The two legal men take out the other two on the aprons! Super Crazy and Daniels continue to battle it out! Super Crazy with the tag and another high flying double team move to Daniels. Psychosis and Daniels fight outside the ring, they break the count at 5 and Daniels tags in Sting. Sting runs over Psychosis, but a few reversals keeps the momentum even. Sting makes a tag and they hit a double team move. Daniels takes out Super Crazy, but leaves himself open for attack from Psychosis. Sting grabs ahold of Psychosis so Daniels can land some offense. The two start trading reversals! Psychosis hits a big suplex for a two count! Daniels starts to fight back! The tag is made to Sting, Psychosis fights him off! Psychosis keeps up the offense for a bit. Sting gets in a few reversals and throws some hard punches on Psychosis. Sting is beating the hell out of Psychosis! Hard clothesline! Psychosis with a reversal, tag to Super Crazy! Sting puts him down! Reversal into Super Crazy's finisher! But the ref was caught between Psychosis and Daniels! Sting takes over, tags in Daniels! The two are in a stalemate! Super Crazy with a tag and double team move! Psychosis takes out Sting! He focuses now on Daniels! Tag and double team move! Super Crazy with the finisher but a kick out at two! Hard suplex! Swanton bomb! TWO COUNT! Daniels fights back! Tag to Sting! Super Crazy charges! Dropkick to Sting! Into the corner, Sting reverses it, but Super Crazy comes quick! Hot tag to Psychosis! He hits the finisher! Super Crazy takes out Daniels! Mexicools win!

Two amazing matches at the end, some that will be tough to top going forward. Next week's card from Indianapolis will feature the Steiner Brothers clashing with the Road Warriors, Usos vs. Cryme Tyme, WGTT looking for win number one against The Fallen, and a battle of undefeateds as Devil's Rejects take on Mexicools!

The Usos vs. Cryme Tyme
One of these two teams had to get their first win of the tournament, and it was Jey Uso coming up with the pin on JTG to give the Usos their first three points in the competition.

The World's Greatest Tag Team vs. The Fallen
The Fallen looked to bounce back from a tough week two loss to the Mexicools. The WGGT were looking for their first win of the round robin. It was Sting and Daniels putting up the W as Sting pinned Shelton Benjamin.

The Steiner Brothers vs. The Road Warriors
This match was bound to be one of the hardest hitting matches EVER. The Steiners were 2-0 as the Road Warriors were 1-1. The Steiners continue their dominance as Scott pins Animal for the win, and shockingly the Road Warriors fall to 1-2.

The Devil's Rejects vs. The Mexicools
After this match, only two unbeatens will be left, The Steiner Brothers and the winner of this match. It's no surprise really that the Devil's Rejects come away with the win, as they have been doing everything right in the tournament so far.

Following the final match, the midseason awards are announced. The team of the tournament through three weeks is The Steiner Brothers. The Devil's Rejects come out to argue, saying they have been just as impressive. A promo is cut, and a lot of hype is built for the week 7 matchup between the two teams. Before The Devil's Rejects leave, Shane Douglas is announced as the midseason MVP. The final announcement, the Match of the Tournament so far, is awarded to The Road Warriors against the World's Greatest Tag Team. The crowd roars and the announcer admits that it will be tough for that match to be beaten through the rest of the tournament.

Next week's action will be live from Kansas City. On the card will be Cryme Tyme taking on The Steiner Brothers, The Fallen battling The Road Warriors, Mexicools vs. The Usos, and WGTT against The Devil's Rejects.
